British news organisations have reported Kevin Pietersen has stepped down as England cricket captain and Peter Moores had resigned as coach.
An England and Wales Cricket Board source confirmed to Sky Sports News that Pietersen was not prepared to embark on England's tour of the West Indies later this month under the team's current management structure.
But the ECB say it had no knowledge of either Pietersen or Moores resigning.
The two men have been locked in a power struggle after Pietersen publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the current set-up.
