The New Zealand cricket captain Dan Vettori has deflected praise for his four wicket haul man of the match performance in last night's seven wicket win over the West Indies in Wellington.

Vettori says the efforts of pace bowlers Kyle Mills and Tim Southee who took two wickets each in knocking off the Windies top order as they scratched out a meagre 128, made his job all the easier.

The Blacks Caps have levelled the five match series at one all, reaching their target of 129 for the loss of three wickets with Ross Taylor top scoring with an unbeaten 51.
