Matthew Hayden may be unwanted by Australia's selectors, but the big opener officially remains among the world's best one-day batsman.

Hayden has been ranked 11th on the International Cricket Council's latest list of the world's top 20 batsman in the 50-over game.

Mike Hussey is Australia's highest ranked batsman at No.2, behind Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Ricky Ponting is the next highest rated Australian at No.7.

Left-arm paceman Nathan Bracken has been supplanted at the top of the bowling rankings by New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori.

Bracken will have the chance to regain top spot in the series against South Africa beginning next week.

Mitchell Johnson is the next best Australian bowler at No.5.

Jacob Oram tops the all-rounder charts, while Australia are the No.1 team ahead of South Africa and India.
