Heineken draw could see top names eliminated early

The main draw for this week's Heineken Open tennis tournament could see several big names spending limited time in Auckland.

In the first round defending champ Philipp Kohschreiber, the fifth seed ranked 28 in the world, will face former top-20 player, Dominik Hrbaty, a two-time winner of the tournament.

Hrbaty enters as a wildcard but has shown recent good form at the Hopman Cup in Perth.

Meanwhile rising Japanese star Kei Nishikori will take on former world number one and the 2008

finalist Juan Carlos Ferrero.

New Zealand's Dan King-Turner will clash with American Sam Querry while the other local wildcard, Rubin Statham will be pitted against former top-20 American Robby Ginepri.

The four top seeds - Juan Martin Del Potro, David Ferrer, Robin Soderling and Nicolas Almagro all have first round byes.
