Laser allegations cloud Aussie win

Australia have sealed their Twenty20 series 2-nil over South Africa at the Gabba in controversial fashion.... their six-wicket win ended with suggestions of a laser light being flashed at South African fielders.

Television coverage picked up a green light across rookie fast bowler Wayne Parnell's face as he attempted a difficult catch in the outfield.

It put him off and Australian batsman Mike Hussey survived....going on to score an unbeaten 53 and leading his side to a six-wicket win with Cameron White, who belted 40 off 18 balls.

Proteas skipper Johan Botha denied Parnell had made a complaint after the miss but says he'll investigate the matter.

Respected cricket website cricinfo.com received several emails from viewers complaining about what appeared to be a "green laser light" shone in Parnell's eyes by a spectator.

Meanwhile the rising Australian paceman Peter Siddle has been ruled out of the one-day series against South Africa with a stress fracture in his foot.
