All Blacks first five eighth Dan Carter will miss this weekend's Heineken Cup pool game between his French club Perpignan and the Welsh club Ospreys because of a slight Achilles tendon injury.
His Achilles tendon is slightly inflamed but the Perpignan team doctor says it isn't a serious injury.
Carter joined Perpignan on a six-month sabbatical last December following the All Blacks' tour of Britain and Ireland. He limped off the field at half-time during Perpignan's 40-14 win in the French championship last weekend.
Meanwhile Toulon's former All Blacks flanker Jerry Collins will be sidelined for up to two months with a knee injury.
Collins, who is 28 and has 48 caps to his name, joined Toulon on a three-year contract last year.
He was carried off the field 10 minutes into Toulon's 19-9 defeat at Brive in the French championship last weekend.
