New Zealand bowlers have dominated the final first round matches at the World Indoor Singles Championship in Norfolk, England, with three wins from three.

Denis Leeden of Dunedin had to bounce back against Hong Kong qualifier Li Ming Sum, winning 2-10, 10-5, 2-1.

Philip Skoglund of Palmerston North was taken to the wire by fellow qualifier David Harding before beating the Welshman 10-4, 6-7, 2-1.

An all-New Zealand clash wrapped up first round play in the tournament when the Waikato qualifier Brian Cathro faced Jamie Hill, the world No19 from Auckland.

But it was the underdog Cathro who won the match 7-7, 9-4.
