The defending champion and fifth seed Philip Kohlschrieber will face second seed David Ferrer from Spain.
In singles Ferrer and Kohlschreiber have played on six previous occasions with the German winning the last two.
Meanwhile top seed Argentine Juan Martin Del Porto will take on the unseeded Viktor Troicki from Serbia.
In another all-seeds match-up, sixth seeded American Sam Querrey will be pitted against fourth-seeded Nicolas Almagro from Spain.
To round out the final eight action American John Isner will clash with third seed Swede Robin Soderling.
