The New Zealand athletes at the Australian Youth Olympics in Sydney have picked up two golds and a bronze -- in kayaking.
The first gold was won by the men's K4 1000 who powered home against their arch-rivals Hungary.
It was followed by a second gold to the women's K1 1000 paddler Teneale Hatton and a bronze to Batts and Fitzgerald in the K2 1000.
After a tough opening day against the Australians, New Zealand reclaimed some of their
international basketball reputation when the U18 men trounced Japan 92-71.
New Zealand has 229 athletes competing at the Games which ends on Sunday.
