All Black star Dan Carter's French rugby team Perpignan have been chosen as the fourth side to contest the inaugural world club championship in Singapore later this year.

The club from the South of France joins the Western Force and English sides Gloucester and Saracens in the tournament.

However, Perpignan won't have the services of superstar Carter as his six-month contract will have finished when the championship starts.
