City could still sign Kaka, says manager Hughes

The Manchester City football club's manager Mark Hughes says that a world record deal to sign AC Milan's 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder Kaka is still on.

City's reportedly offered 100 million euros - that's $246 million - for Kaka, who told Italian media he's happy at the San Siro and wants to grow old at Milan.

But Hughes is denying reports from the United Arab Emirates, where City's owners are based, that the deal for the player had collapsed following talks between the clubs this week.

Meanwhile Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says clubs like his can't live with City when it comes to the transfer fees they're prepared to pay.

Wenger says his club lives in the real world, within their income from gates, TV rights and sponsors while City live in another world.
