Japanese schoolboy sensation Ryo Ishikawa will make his debut on the US PGA Tour at next month's Northern Trust Open.

The 17-year-old has been awarded a Commissioner's foreign exemption to compete in the event at the Riviera Country Club in California.

Ishikawa helped Asia beat Europe to claim the Royal Trophy earlier this month and became the youngest player to win 100 million yen in a season on the Japanese men's tour last year.
