The England and Wales Cricket Board have confirmed England's players will be allowed to compete in the lucrative Indian Premier League for half of the six-week competition.

England are currently on an 11-week tour of the Caribbean and the 3-week period will start shortly after the tour ends in April.

The Board said players who are signed by IPL franchises won't be available for April's County Championship matches but will be available for the first Test against the West Indies at Lord's in May.
