Zimbabwe cricket boss may be refused entry to Australia

The Australian government has warned the head of Zimbabwe Cricket he might not be granted entry into Australia to attend a meeting of the sport's world leaders.

Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Peter Chingoka is currently not permitted entry into Australia because of his link with Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe.

But authorities say Chingoka can apply for a special visa, but as yet has not done so.

Chingoka's title means he is required to attend the International Cricket Council's two-day conference of directors to be held in Perth later this month.

The International Cricket Council has confirmed the meeting will go ahead in Perth regardless of Chingoka's presence.
