Basketball Australia release guidleines for new teams

Australian and New Zealand basketball clubs have been given the go-ahead to put forward their cases to be part of a revamped Australian national competition.

Basketball Australia has called for expressions of interest from prospective clubs keen to be part of the new-look competition, which will replace the existing National Basketball League.

But in a bid to avoid the financial troubles which have blighted the NBL the past two seasons, Basketball Australia has set out stringent guidelines for clubs to meet to guard against financial trouble.
