Australian allrounder Andrew Symonds is to be quizzed by Cricket Australia after making disparaging remarks about New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum during a radio show.

Symonds referred to McCullum as a "lump of s..." and once again criticised the decsion by New South Wales to sign him for their Twenty20 final in Sydney against Victoria.

The Queenslander said on the radio show that he still believed NSW are denying a local player opportunities to play by signing McCullum, calling it an injustice.

Cricket Australia spokesman Peter Young said the recording will be listened to by acting chief executive Michael Brown before any decision is made.
