Brad Jones Racing has announced the New Zealand driver Jason Richards will join its Team BOC Racing outfit for this year's V8 Supercar series.

Richard's has been a regular runner in the V8 supercar series since making his debut for Team Kiwi in 2000.

Team co-owner Brad Jones says he is delighted to have secured the services of such an experienced driver for the 2009 series.

The New Zealander finished second at Bathurst last year and Jones' says Team BOC will be expecting similiar results from the 32 year old this campaign.

Richard's says he considered the move after seeing a new focus and significant improvement at Brad Jones Racing in 2008 and the team's switch to Holden had sealed the deal.

This season will be Brad Jones Racing's second year in the VE Commodore and Jones' says with the addition of a driver with Richard's experience he believes Brad Jones Racing will be amongst the front runners in 2009.
