Tigers beat Dragons in ANBL

The Melbourne Tigers closed the gap on the Australian National Basketball League leaders South Dragons with a dramatic 92-86 win over their cross-town rivals last night.

Melbourne appeared headed for an emphatic win when they led by 15 points in the third quarter, but the Dragons fought back to tie the scores in the final minute.

The Tigers have now won seven straight games and sit in second place with an 18-8 record, just behind the Dragons who are now 18-7.... the Breakers are third with a 16 and 9 record.

Tigers captain Chris Anstey finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds, with 18 points coming in the first half.
