Flintoff to have medical scan

The England cricketer Andrew Flintoff has flown to Jamaica for scans after complaining of discomfort in his left side in the lead-up to the tourist's West Indies tour opener in St Kitts.

Meanwhile Flintoff's team mate,left-arm spinner Monty Panesar has claimed a confidence-boosting 4-53on day two of the three-day against a St Kitts and Nevis XI at Warner Park in Basseterre.

The locals, replying to England's first day total of 424 for eight declared, were bowled out for 251 an hour after tea.

The tourists powered to 118 without loss off just 23 overs in their second innings by stumps, an overall advantage of 291.
