The young Queenstown tennis player Riki McLachlan has been beaten in the second round of the boys junior championship at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
He beat an Australian in the opening round, but lost to a Chinese Taipei player in straight sets in the second.
The other two New Zealanders in the boys main draw, Jordan Kelly-Houston and Ben McLachlan were both beaten in the first round.
