Elena Dementieva and Svetlana Kuznetsova will be seeking to make it an all-Russian final four in the quest for the women's Australian Open tennis title today.

Fellow Russians Dinara Safina and Vera Zvonareva are already due to clash in one semi-final, after Safina downed Australia's Jelena Dokic and Zvonareva beat France's Marion Bartoli in quarter-finals yesterday.

In today's quarter-finals, fourth seed Dementieva plays unseeded Spanish giant-killer Carla Suarez Navarro.... while 8th seed Kuznetsova meets three-time champion Serena Williams, who she has beaten only once in five previous meetings.

In the men's matches, last year's finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the French fifth seed, will be looking to build on his fine Melbourne Park record when he meets Spain's Fernando Verdasco, while another Frenchman, Gilles Simon, will be in action in the night session, taking on world number one Rafael Nadal.

Nadal has been in awesome form so far in the tournament, losing no more than nine games in any of his first four matches.

Roger Federer and Andy Roddick are already through to the semi-finals.
