The Otago cricket coach says his bowlers put in their best performance of the season in today's State Shield semi-final match which saw Canterbury all bowled out for an embarassing 85 runs.

The one-day title defenders Otago completed the run chase in just 14 overs with 8 wickets to spare.

Neil Wagner and Warren McSkimming caused the major damage with 3 wickets each and the Otago coach Mike Hesson says their bowlers all played a part.

The Otago side will play Northern Districts in the State Shield one day final in Hamilton on Saturday.
