The first golf tournament of 2009 for the world number four Phil Mickleson has been one to forget.
The American left hander has missed the cut at the Phoenix Open, a tournament he has won twice, following rounds of 76 and 73.
Mickleson says he felt like he hit the ball well but just made a lot of errors here and there.
He says missing the cut will give him a few more days to get his game sharp.
