Mexico is to submit a bid to host the 2018 or 2022 Football World Cups.
The Mexican Football Federation general secretary Decio de Maria says they have sent an application to enter the process.
He says Mexico has raised its hand to host a third World Cup.
The Mexicans hosted the tournament in 1970 and 1986, stepping in 23 years ago when Colombia pulled out.
