Arsenal and West Ham end with one all draw

8:49 am on 1 February 2009

The hopes of Arsenal challenging for the English football premier league title took a dive today as their match against West Ham United ended in a goalles home nil all draw.

Arsenal made all the running but missed the chances they created and ended the game seven points adrift of leaders Manchester United, who host Everton later today.

Aston Villa, in fourth, failed to take advantage as they too shared a goalless home draw with in-form Wigan Athletic to stay five points clear of the Gunners.

The game of the day was at the Reebok Stadium where Kevin Davies headed his second goal late on to secure Bolton Wanderers a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur, who had come from 2-0 down with two goals by substitute Darren Bent inside five minutes.
