The All Blacks manager is not dwelling on the wisdom of allowing Dan Carter to play six months of rugby in the Northern Hemisphere, despite a serious injury to the first five eight.

Carter could be out of rugby action for six months and miss the Tri-Nations series after receiving an achilles tendon injury while playing for his French club Perpignan.

The All Blacks Manager Darren Shand says rugby injuries are just a part of life and Carter is as likely as anybody to get an injury.

He says they have to do what they can to assist their star player rather than dwell on what's happened.
