Third Matilda's player signs for inaugural

The Australian midfielder Heather Garriock has completed a deal to play for the Chicago Red Stars in the inaugural American Women's Professional Soccer league season starting in April.

Garriock becomes the third Matildas player to sign with a WPS team.

Midfielder Collette McCallum and forward Sarah Walsh, a teammate of Garriock's at Sydney FC, are to play with Sky Blue FC of New Jersey.

A fourth Australian, forward Lisa De Vanna has been drafted by and is in negotiations with the Washington Freedom.

26-year-old Garriock is a 10-year international veteran with 112 caps and 19 goals to her name and has competed in two World Cups and two Olympics.
