None of the sailing teams remain unbeaten in the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series in Auckland after Team New Zealand and Britain's Team Origin both suffered hard-fought defeats on day one of Round Two.

Damiani Italia got the jump on Team New Zealand and held a narrow lead throughout to win by 19 seconds on Friday, while Team Origin couldn't post back to back wins over the America's Cup holders Alinghi, the Swiss getting by on the final leg to win by 15 seconds.

Team China scored its first win over Team Shosholoza and K Challenge beat the Greek Challenge.

Russell Coutts' BMW Oracle meanwhile posted a convincing 59-second victory over Luna Rossa in the last of the day's races, which were delayed two hours by a lack of wind.
