Windies take first innings lead

The West Indies have a 39 run lead with three wickets in hand at stumps on the third day of the first cricket test against England being played in Jamaica.

The West Indies were 352 for 7 at close of play in reply to England's 318. Brendan Nash was not out on 47 and Sulieman Benn on 10.

Earlier Chris Gayle and Ramnaresh Sarwan scored centuries. Gayle was out for 104 and Sarwan for 107.

The best of the English bowlers were Andrew Flintoff with two for 57 and Stuart Broad with three for 66.
