Breakers look to end losing streak

7:07 pm on 7 February 2009

The New Zealand Breakers basketball side will look finish their snap their ANBL losing streak on Saturday night against the 36ers in Adelaide.

After going down to the Wollongong Hawks last night the Breakers have now lost four games in a row and seven of their last eight.

Assistant Coach Dean Vickerman expects this evening's encounter to be an emotional one, as the 36ers will celebrate the last ever home game for star player Brett Maher.

He says the Breakers will need to do a great job of keeping them off the three point line and containing the 36ers potent offense.
