Stacey Jones poised for Warriors comeback

The Warriors halfback Stacey Jones is poised to play for the club for the first time in nearly 13 hundred days in Thursday night's opening National Rugby League trial match in Hamilton.

The 32-year-old played 238 games for the Warriors over 11 years before spending the 2006-07 seasons with Les Catalans in the English Super League.

He's not sure how much time he'll get against last year's beaten finalists Melbourne.

Jones says it won't be a lot but he says training's all very well and he's just looking forward to getting out on the field to see how he's progressed since he returned to the Warriors as a kicking coach last year before announcing in November that he had signed a one-year deal to play again
