There'll be at least three New Zealand golfers in the field for this year's British Open championship.

24 year Josh Geary will join automatic qualifiers Michael Campbell and Mark Brown at Turnberry in Scotland in mid-July after earning one of three spots at the Australasian final qualifying tournament yesterday in Melbourne.

Geary had consecutive rounds of 70 in tough conditions at Kingston Heath to be joint winner in a field that included the seasoned Australian pros Peter Senior, Craig Parry, Peter Fowler and Peter O'Malley.
