Black Caps need to adjust and skipper needs to step up

Coming to grips with a bouncier, faster Gabba pitch in Brisbane may well be the key to New Zealand winning Friday's Chappell Hadlee one day cricket decider against Australia.

Batsman Ross Taylor, who's had a successful series top scoring for the Black Caps in two of the four matches, says they struggled to adjust to the bouncier Adelaide wicket in last night's six wicket loss, which saw Australia level the series at two all and take the momentum heading into Friday's decider.

Meanwhile New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori is putting the pressure on himself saying he needs to step up if they're to win.

The Australians have gone after Vettori in the last two games and the Black Caps skipper admits he hasn't been at his best.
