The New Zealand cricketers have quantified the immense value they place on the Chappell-Hadlee series decider in Brisbane by mentioning it in the same sentence as the World Cup final.

The in-form Black Caps batsman Ross Taylor says tomorrow night's match at the Gabba will provide a young team with some idea of the pressure brought to bear at the sharp end of the Cup, where New Zealand have never yet to get past the semi-finals.

Taylor says the game's a good chance to show they're made of as a team, building towards the 2011 World Cup.

The Black Casps have let a 2-0 series lead go over the past two games in Sydney and Adelaide but Taylor remains optimistic.

His 76 from 71 balls in Adelaide showed how damaging he can be, and he admits the recent addition of the batting powerplay has given him greater licence to build an innings as he wants.

New Zealand are expected to carry captain Daniel Vettori and wicketkeeper Brendon into the final match despite niggling hamstring and shoulder injuries.

Spinner Jeetan Patel will push for a recall at the expense of Craig Cumming, whose minimal contribution in Adelaide match featured a duck and a dropped catch.
