Alinghi has easily beaten BMW Oracle to win the best of three the challenger final at Louis Vuitton regatta being sailed off Auckland.
After coming from behind to win last night's the opening race by one second Alinghi led from the start going into the final leg more than 300 metres ahead and crossing 65 seconds before Oracle.
The Swiss Americas Cup holders will race Team New Zealand in the best of seven final, which is scheduled to start tomorrrow.
Racing was brought forward by an hour because weather forecasters expect strengthening north-easterlies this afternoon.
