The return of star shooting-guard Kirk Penney should boost the Breakers chances of breaking a five game losing streak tonight and secure a home quarter-final in the Australian National Basketball League.
After ending the year in second the Breakers have slipped to fourth but they could still finish the regular season in third if they beat Cairns at the North Shore Events centre tonight and other results go their way.
Penney's a contender for the NBL's Most Vauluable Player award and fellow guard Phill Jones says if he hadn't missed the last two games things might've gone better for the Breakers.
