More off field problems for the Highlanders

There are more off-field problems for the Highlanders, with winger Fetu'u Vainikolo being investigate by the New Zealand rugby union over an incident at a Dunedin bar.

The rugby union's professional rugby manager Neil Sorensen says a member of the public has made a complaint to the Highlanders about Vainikolo in the wake of an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Sorenson says they're taking the matter seriously and along with the Highlanders are looking into the matter to find out what happened and implement any penalty should it be necessary.

Last year two Highlanders players went before the courts - All Black halfback Jimmy Cowan and midfield back Lucky Mulipola.
