The World and Olympic shot put champion Valerie Vili will square off against arch rival Nadzeya Ostapchuk of Belarus at meet in Auckland on Friday night.
Ostapchuk finished third at the Beijing and Vili edged her out in the last round to win the world title in Japan in 2007.
Ostapchuk led the world rankings last year with 20.98m with Vili's Beijing effort of 20.56m the third biggest throw of the year.
Meanwhile Vili and 1500m Olympic bronze medallist Nick Willis have been confirmed in the New Zealand team to compete at the world champs in Berlin in August.
They've been been selected ahead of the rest of the team by virtue of their top eight placings at the Olympics.
