The injury-plagued all rounder Jacob Oram looks like he may be ready for a return to the international cricket stage.
Oram's return for Central Districts in a domestic Twenty20 match in Dunedin yesterday was marked by a quickfire 51 off 27 balls.
Otago beat Central Districts by five wickets however and Oram didn't bowl.
Canterbury beat Northern Districts in Hamilton in a bowl-off after both sides made 171 in their time at the crease while in the other game in the capital Auckland beat Wellington at the Basin Reserve, also by five wickets.
Black Cap Martin Guptill was the hero for Auckland with 43 off 21 balls.
