Return to winning ways key to hopes of pushing on

The defensive heart of the New Zealand Breakers says the fact that tonight's Australian National Basketball League quarter-final against Adelaide is at home in Auckland is as exciting for the players as it is for the fans.

It's the second season in a row that the Breakers have made the quarter-finals but the first time that they'll play the sudden death match at home at the North Shore Events Centre.

And the former Tall Black forward Dillon Boucher says if the Breakers are to push on from tonight's game with Adelaide one key factor could be the way they ended the regular season.

Boucher says the back to back wins, at home then away, gave them a lot of confidence.

The winner of tonight's quarter-final will play the Melbourne Tigers in a best of three semi-finals format.
