Chiefs lose two key players

8:35 am on 19 February 2009

Two of the Chiefs' most experienced players captain Mils Muliaina and loose forward Sione Lauaki will miss their Super 14 rugby match against the New South Wales Waratahs in Sydney tomorrow night.

Muliaina strained his back as he stood up from his seat in a video session, while Lauaki's strained hamstring, which occurred during last Saturday's game, hasn't settled sufficiently.

Chiefs loose forward Liam Messam will step in and captain the team, Colin Bourke starts at number eight, while Mike Delany will start at fullback.
