English county sides might have to consider handing back money received as part of a deal with the Texan billionaire Allen Stanford, who's facing multi-billion dollar fraud charges in the United States.
Each of the first class county sides in English cricket received $140,000 after last November's Stanford Super Series and the Hampshire county chairman Rod Bransgrove says there may well be a moral issue in accepting ill-gotten gains if that proves to be the case.
The Stanford affair has been deeply embarrassing for English cricket, with prominent critics slamming those who run the sport.
