The New Zealand teenage amateur golfer Danny Lee says he thinks he can win the Johnny Walker Classic but he's still just happy he made the cut.

Going into the last round in Perth Lee's tied for third with three others on 12 under par, two shots off the leaders, the English pair John Bickerton and Ross McGowan.

Lee says his mum's happy with his performance.

Fellow New Zealander David Smail is in a share of 40th on six under while Michael Long's fallen back to third from last on two over.
