Drew Mitchell also considering moving back east

Western Force and Wallabies back Drew Mitchell says he's considering following team-mate Matt Giteau to the ACT Brumbies next year, heightening fears of a mass-exodus from the Perth Super 14 rugby franchise.

Mitchell and fellow Wallaby star James O'Connor say that Giteau's impending departure has had a significant impact on their plans for the future, leaving the Australian Rugby Union with work to do to keep the young franchise together.

Giteau announced his move back east last weekend and it has been reported that Queensland-product Mitchell was considering a move in that direction even before Giteau made the news public.

Like Giteau, the 29-Test cap international had lost money owing to him through a third-party deal from a former Force sponsor that went under.

The former All Black coach John Mitchell has had his duties with the Force clipped somewhat after a review was held because of apparent player unrest.
