Zimbawe tour postponed

New Zealand Cricket and Zimbabwe Cricket are reported to have agreed to postpone the Black Cap's July tour of Zimbabwe by a year.

The Cricinfo webite says the decision came after discussions between New Zealand Cricket's Chief Executive Justin Vaughan and his Zimbabwe counterpart Ozias Bvute during the ICC chief executives' conference in Johannesburg.

New Zealand will now tour in June 2010.

The announcement follows more than a week of speculation that the New Zealand prime minister, John Key, was preparing to step in to stop the tour going ahead.
