The All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw has been cleared to play in Friday night's Super 14 match against the Hurricanes in Christchurch.
McCaw missed the loss to the ACT Brumbies in Canberra last week after being concussed in the opening round win over the Chiefs and had been bracketed in the starting line-up.
But medical staff have told him he can play after getting positive test results.
All Blacks lock Brad Thorn is also back after recovering from a heel injury.
Missing still though due to injury are fullback Leon MacDonald and halfback Andy Ellis.
