UEFA will not act over Mourinho referee comments

European football's governing body will take no action against Inter Milan's coach Jose Mourinho after his post-match allegations of refereeing bias during their Champions League home draw with Manchester United.

Following the first knockout round first leg encounter, Mourinho said he was unhappy with Spanish referee Luis Medina Catalejo particularly over his dismissal of a penalty claim by Inter striker Adriano.

The former Chelsea coach said if the referee gives the away team the same protection in the return leg at Old Trafford Inter will go into the quarter-final.

However a spokesman says UEFA is satisfied that more inflammatory comments ascribed to Mourinho during the translateed post-match news conference were not accurate.
