Alex Rodriguez was booed and taunted with shouts of "cheater" in a Major League Baseball pre-season game in Florida.
It was his first game since admitting he took performance-enhancing drugs.
He was greeted with a loud chorus of boos in the first inning but hit a home run in his second bat drawing a standing ovation from Yankees fans in the tune-up game for April's start of the six-month season.
Rodriguez is set to meet with Major League Baseball investigators this week to discuss his use of steroids.
