Reds encourage their Kiwi import to play in Japan

The Queensland Reds are so keen to keep the Auckland loose forward Daniel Braid for a second Super 14 season next year, they're virtually encouraging him to spend his off-season playing in Japan.

Australian rugby's first international import has made such an impression on and off the field, the Reds are prepared to facilitate Braid's desire to travel the world with his fiancee.

The inspirational 27-year-old, who has fielded interest from big-spending European and Japanese clubs, has to decide by the end of March whether or not he'll stay with the Reds for a second Super 14 season.
