The New Zealand under-21 netball side thrashed the Cook Islands 82-25 in the pre-world championships tournament in Auckland on Friday night.
Four teams are taking part in the warm-up tournament which precedes the World Youth Championships in the Cook Islands later this year.
New Zealand are the world champions and head coach Yvette McCausland Durie says she was happy with the way they stuck with the game plan.
She says she hopes her side can do the same thing against Fiji today in their second game in the four team tournament.
New Zealand could have their hands full after Fiji beat South Africa 37-36.
